The 2017 Corvette Z06 arrived in our shop showing the subtle signs of time and exposure that even a meticulously cared-for supercar inevitably develops. Its once-pristine lines had endured the test of sunlight, environmental contaminants, and the slow yellowing of an older, precut paint protection film. While the Corvette’s aggressive stance and sculpted bodywork still turned heads, its exterior needed a rejuvenation that matched its performance pedigree.
The first task was the careful removal of the existing precut film. Over time, standard precut kits tend to discolor and trap dirt at the edges, undermining both the visual clarity and protective function. Attention then turned to the cabin’s glass surfaces. The original tint had dulled and lost efficiency, compromising both interior comfort and UV protection. Removing the old film revealed streaks and residue that could interfere with the new application, so careful cleaning was essential. The new heat-rejecting ceramic tint was installed precisely, reducing glare and interior heat while maintaining the aggressive, cohesive look of the Corvette.
The result of this multi-step process is a Corvette Z06 that not only looks sharper than it has in years, but is also fully protected against the daily hazards of driving and exposure.
